Protocinema is pleased to announce the appointment of Fikriye as Executive Director of Development and Communications, based in New York City. Fikriye joined Protocinema in July and will focus on business development, fundraising and marketing communications.

Fikriye is an international marketing and business development executive with 17 years of experience working on the intersection of art, design and commerce for premier organizations such as Christie's Post-War and Contemporary Art and Royal Copenhagen among others.

Fikriye served at Christie's Post-War and Contemporary Art auction house as VP of Global Marketing. She was instrumental supporting the specialist department in refining brand identity, building new revenue streams, such as private sales, e-commerce and creating proposals and marketing plans to win some of the most competitive and disruptive art world deals in art market history. In addition to her role as Head of Marketing Fikriye also identified and leveraged strategic partnerships with key cultural and philanthropic organizations, luxury brands, art collectors, celebrities and leading contemporary artists.

Fikriye brings a rare mix of creative talent, analytical skills, passion for the contemporary art and an international background merging Turkish-German and American culture. Building upon Protocinema's success, Fikriye will foster relationships with the organizations supporters and develop marketing and business development programs to support the organization in its growth phase.
